How's Your Clyde?
Now That’ll Be Enough of That! Part 1

The world has become too casual. There was a time, not so long ago, that people would actually dress nicely to travel, go out to dinner, see a movie, etc. Crazy talk, I know, but it’s true. But nowadays everyone seems to just slap on whatever is somewhat clean and head out the door. Now what you do (or wear) in the privacy of your own home is just fine by me. But once I’ve got to stare at your Tap Out/Ed Hardy/Flip flops/Ironic T Shirt while I’m out at a nice restaurant, then I get to say something.

Enough is enough.

I had the very good fortune to meet Mr. Tompkins while performing at The Super Serious Show  with my sketch group Slow Children Crossing a few months back. He was hosting the show and he couldn’t have been nicer to us. He even invited us back on stage when we had finished up. So yeah, we dig him.

And you should too! Go see him or check out his podcast. He’s funny. Like, really, really funny.

A trailer for the upcoming Adult Swim adaptation of BLACK DYNAMITE. If you haven’t sen that movie, sweet mother of god, go out and get it. Now! It’s one of the best comedies in years. Seriously. It’s amazing. Then watch this trailer. You’ll thank me.

“What more can I say? The man is black.”

More people need to check out this band. They are very, very, very good. Treat your ears right. Listen to this track.

Last thing about Flip flops (for now). But very well said. Thanks Blaine!

This is a perfect marriage of two of my favorite things, bacon and bourbon. And it’s EASY! Plus you’ll have bacon to eat while you wait for the bourbon to infuse. What more do you need??

BTW, I find that a cheaper bourbon (Jim Beam for example) actually brings out the flavor of the bacon better than the more expensive brands. Also Grade A syrup seems to work just fine if you can’t get a hold of Grade B. So go forth good people!

Rabbit Punch

My Buddy Matt Wallace of Harvard & Stone (http://www.harvardandstone.com/) came up with this delicious punch recipe. At least I think it’s delicious. I had it on my 40th birthday and… well…. I don’t remember much after that. But everything Matt makes is awesome so give this one a try.

Most people get their first impression of Sammy Davis Jr from songs like  “Mr. Bojangles” and “The Candy Man”. Great stuff indeed but, before all of that Sammy, was the height of cool. Here’s just a taste of what he could do. This was a clip from the only televised performance from the Rat Pack. Good times!

My beautiful and talented and funny and amazing girlfriend has a beautiful and talented and funny and amazing blog. She recently shared a little recipe for fancy ice cubes.
